In 1973 for our Golden Wedding anniversary on September 12th the children had a party to honor us. It was a most happy occasion. We enjoyed seeing all our old friends. It was held in the Jameston church recreation hall. All the children and grand children were present. We welcomed everyone in a reception line. The kids had decorated the hall and made a quilt for us with each family doing their own block. It is a real work of art. Refreshments were served. We were most pleased.
