Our family had started while living the first spring near Ernest Birch. Wanda was born the 15 June 1924. Millie went to her mother's home at Wilford. The doctor came to the home. All the children were home deliveries except the last two. The doctor bill was between $25.00 to 35.00. The larger amount was for the last two children born. The doctors were good about letting us pay by installments.

Wanda married Clyde Conrad Miller the 12 June 1945 in the Logan Temple. We were living in St. Anthony at this time. They have one son and five daughters. Wanda has gone back to school to get her teaching certiticate.

While Millie was down to mother Birch's for the twins I had to get Wanda ready and to school each day. One night I had made some vegetable soup with beef in it for supper. She didn't want to eat it.

It was all I had and I told her she had to sit at the table until she ate it all. She sat there until 9 p.m. and finally ate it. She liked it and has liked soup to this day.
