Dad:
I don't know how to tell you what you mean to me and how to thank you for all you have done for me.
It seems as though there is a time in each one's life when we finally realize how important our parents are. Dad, since gaining a testimony of the gospel and serving a mission, my perspective on life and what you are and were as a father have changed tremendously. I am so grateful you taught me to be honest and to, especially, do an honest day's work for an honest day's pay. It seems as though now after being on my own it is so hard to find someone who will take responsibility and an interest in whatever they are doing. I am so grateful you taught me to be responsible to my fellowmen and especially to myself and take an interest and pride in what I do.
There was a time when I wondered if you loved me as a son, but there was one time I shall never forget as long as I live because it changed the way 1 felt about you. Do you remember when you had looked for me all night and then in the morning I met you riding the horse and I was walking out of the hills. I shall never forget the feeling of love that came from your soul that day. it made me realize I was somebody to you and always would be.

Dad, probably the best tribute I can ever pay is to say I will always do all in my power and ability to keep your name what you have made it I know no one nor have I ever heard of anyone who had a derogatory word to say about you. In my eyes you are the greatest man who ever lived. I just wish words could say how one really feels. I shall always love you for the wonderful man you are.
God bless you.
Your son,
Paul
