Another time as Millie was doing her washing some of the lye had spilled onto the floor unnoticed by her. Karen was a baby at the time and was crawling about the floor. She saw the white stuff and picked it up and put it into her mouth. She immediately started to cry. Mother picked her up and soon recognized what had happened. She called Arlene and told her to mount 'Ole Bess' and ride across the creek up to the farm where I was working and tell me to come home quickly and administer to Karen. Arlene felt the seriousness of this request and went with full speed. I came home immediately and did administer to her. She did not have any adverse reaction to this so we felt the Lord had again been with us. Lye is very caustic and
